Extra Things Going On in Fire Emblem Fandom!

I have decided that I should collect some of the recent happenings dropped into the group's inbox and make a collective entry about them! It probably should have been done sooner, actually! xD

Serenes Forest Scribbles Contest

The goal of the event is to bring the community together and do something fun. You don't need to be an active contributor in our Creative sections or long-standing member to participate, just have some kind of creative ability that you'd like to share. The focus of the event is on community, and the way the voting and rules are set up denote a much more casual setting and approach. A wide variety of creative submissions are accepted, and the focus for voters will most likely be on which submission they like the most. There isn't strict voting criteria, simply vote for what you think is the coolest submission for whatever your reason may be.

1. Your submission must be Fire Emblem related. Your stories, pictures, etc can have original characters or locations in them, but be sure that it can be easily recognized as a Fire Emblem piece.

2. Your submission must not include copyrighted assets.

3. No trolling, vote inflating or joke submissions. Don't send us stick figures or whatever just to get a participant prize, unless there is a clear purpose behind the design choice. You don't need to be the greatest artist or most creative person in the world, just put effort into your submission and I guarantee you it will be appreciated. Do what you do best!

4. Likewise, submissions entered with content intended to mock/bother another user is disallowed.

5. Only one submission per member is allowed. You're free to change your submission if you'd like to before the event goes to voting phase.

6. Code of Conduct behaviour rules still apply, and we will not tolerate the use of this event to bother or upset other members. If you attempt to cause trouble in this thread or make inflammatory comments towards its participants, you will be suspended immediately.

PRIZES:
Grand Prize:
A grand prize package will be given to the creator of the submission that receives the most votes. They will have a CHOICE between TWO packages, and the one they do not choose will go to the person who placed second.

Top Ten Prizes:

People with submissions that place in the top ten will receive a copy of fan-made Fire Emblem Anthology (see in section of this journal entry below!!), a fanzine 112 page collection of written works, comic strips, and illustration centered around Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance by a group of talented FE fans. As you might know, our website theme was inspired by the home of the herons in FE9, and the 10th anniversary of the game happened to be this year. Stars aligned!

Participant Prize:
All entrants will receive early access to a special set of badges we have planned, and also a unique participant badge that will be exclusive to users who enter!

The Raffle
After the event has ended we'll be putting your fate in the hands of the RNG Goddess once more. Every member who makes a submission for the event will be assigned a number and entered into the raffle. Two lucky winners will be the recipients of a new, still boxed amiibo (MARTH & IKE) courtesy of the SF staff.

A preview piece that I submitted to your club is in there, along with the works of a ton of great FE artists! Featuring 36 participants, there are illustrations, comics, and fanfiction, all to celebrate their love for this game!

$12 USD for an A5 perfect bound book. 112 pages: 42 pages of illustrations, 22 pages of comics, 33 pages of fanfiction.
